The School of Graduate Studies, established in 1962, coordinates all graduate programmes of the University from the humanities, business, law to the sciences. Our university offers a diverse and talented student body, a highly regarded library, outstanding research programmes and a distinguished and dedicated faculty committed to the success of students in their academic and professional pursuits.

To develop world-class human resources and capabilities, to meet national development needs and global challenges through quality teaching, learning, research and knowledge dissemination, the University of Ghana offers students from Africa the opportunity to enjoy an excellent and affordable graduate experience: Students from the ECOWAS sub-region receive special rebate on tuition fees of up to 50% while students from other African countries receive a special rebate on tuition fees of up to 30%.

However, programmes exempt from this offer include:
1. Master of Economic Policy Management (EPM)
2. Executive Master of Business Administration (all the options)
3. Week-end Master of Business Administration (all the options)
4. MSc. Development Finance (special programme)
5. LLM (Oil & Gas Law)
6. MPhil (Nuclear Science & Technology)
7. MPhil (Entomology)
8. All PhD Programmes run by the University with the exception of the one run by WACCI (students on this programme take taught courses as well)
