TESTIMONIALS FROM INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

The University of Ghana, the premier University in Ghana, stands out as a leading tertiary educational institution in Africa. The University attaches a great importance to the cross-cultural experience that is made possible by the presence of foreign students on campus. The successful participation of international students in our courses has helped us to acquire an excellent reputation for the quality of out teaching and research and of our student care services. We pride ourselves on the attention given to the individual needs of our students, whatever their cultural background.

Below are some comments from international students:

"It's nearly impossible to identify all the ways in which the Ghana exchange programme enriched my life. Ghana is an amazing country with so much to offer. The exchange programme allows you to experience Ghana and it's culture to the fullest. Many people can come to Ghana as tourists but to come and go to school and basically live as a student allows you to gain a true experience of life in Ghana".

"Studying at the University of Ghana was a great experience. Living in Ghana, ever more so. The challenges were many, but with a smile and some patience, a helping hand soon appeared. International students had the safety and comfort of the International Programmes Office for any difficulties or questions we had. Indeed the mosquitoes are a pain, the chili in almost everything may take some getting used to, as well as the staple foods, but survival techniques abound!
Come dance, learn, laugh, eat and live!! Do not leave without trying the groundnut soup, fufu and all the varieties of plantains! And take any opportunity to travel around and see the turtles of Ada, the shores of Lake Volta and the elephants of Mole; to name only a few of Ghana's treasures. I advice anyone considering visiting the University of Ghana to go for it: they will not regret it".
