UNIVERSITY OF GHANA EXCHANGE PROGRAMME PARTICIPANTS REPRESENT UG IN GLOBAL OPPORTUNITIES FAIR IN SIMON FRASER UNIVERSITY

On Tuesday, September 24th 2013, the annual Simon Fraser University (SFU) Global Opportunities (GO) Fair was held and hosted by the International Services for Students unit of the University. It was held between 10am and 3pm on the SFU campus.

The GO Fair is a large annual event where students can explore study abroad opportunities as well as international co-operation and volunteer options. It presents an opportunity to meet students/faculty/staff who have been on an exchange or field school and to hear about their experiences. This year the University of Ghana was represented at the fair by faculty from the University of Ghana on an exchange programme in Simon Fraser University.

The UG stand was very colourful and interesting as they displayed our brochures, posters, leaflets, booklets as well as some Ghanaian traditional items. With our faculty members themselves decked out in traditional apparel, the stand they set up portrayed Ghanaian culture in a unique way.

On behalf of the University of Ghana, we congratulate and thank all faculty members studying hard and positively representing the University of Ghana, and our nation as a whole, abroad!
